About The Position

Harlem Children’s Zone (HCZ) — a world-renowned education and poverty-fighting organization based in New York — seeks a highly-driven, creative, multi-talented Associate, Content Production. The Associate, Content Production will join our Communications and Marketing team at the forefront of innovation at HCZ. The individual will be a skilled videographer and video editor who will support the creation of a range of content promoting the work and impact of HCZ, including but not limited to: video, photography, and motion graphics. The work of the Associate, Content Production will be published across our marketing platforms, including website, social media, email marketing, and digital and print advertising. Reporting to the Director, Content Production, the Associate, Content Production will support the end-to-end creation of a range of content to advance our key priorities: brand awareness, scholar enrollment, talent recruitment, thought leadership, staff culture, and fundraising. This will include, but is not limited to: scheduling, setting up, and conducting video and photography shoots; supporting post production and editing; and creating video content for different mediums. Some physical work, including transporting equipment to and from shoots, is required. Requirements

  • Bachelor’s Degree
  • 5-7 years’ experience in video production and editing
  • Expertise editing video
  • Experience creating content for social media (ex: Instagram Reels, Tik Tok videos, and others.)
  • Expertise in creating motion graphics
  • Experience working with Cinema and Mirrorless cameras
  • Experience working collaboratively with internal stakeholders and vendors
  • Able to work some weekends
  • Able to travel outside of New York City and out of state for some assignments
  • A curious, multi-talented creative with skills and experience in video production including video capture and advanced video editing
  • A deadline-driven hustler who thrives in low-ego, team-oriented environments
  • A strong relationship and community builder excited to work collaboratively with stakeholders across our organization

Responsibilities

  • Capture video of and photograph organizational events, interviews, and other productions
  • Edit and produce videos and photography for our marketing platforms, including website, social media (primarily Instagram, Facebook, and LinkedIn), email marketing, and digital and print advertising
  • Support the Director, Content Production in scheduling, setting up, and conducting video and photography assignments
  • Prepare and set up equipment for shoots
  • Develop engaging motion graphics to enhance video content and branding
  • Manage the Communications Team’s inventory of video and photography equipment
  • Oversee our Brandfolder digital asset library, including processing, naming, tagging, and organizing images
  • Ensure all visual assets meet brand standards and storytelling goals
