About The Position

Provide career advising and career education programs for College of Engineering with a primary focus on graduate students. Serve as team lead for marketing & communications. We are a six-person team running a full-service career office for students who are smart, hard-working, and in high demand for their STEM skills & education. Programs and services include: Individual advising, workshops, career courses, and online resources. Career fairs hosted in fall and spring, both in-person and virtual. Alumni mentorship & networking programs •employer outreach and event hosting. High-quality marketing to promote our events, programs, and opportunities. Survey & data collection on internship and first-destination outcomes. Requirements

  • Bachelor's degree required, Master's degree preferred
  • 3-5 years of related experience

Responsibilities

  • Provide 1:1 career advising for students from all College of Engineering programs, with special emphasis on advising undergraduate students.
  • Create, deliver, and continually improve career education programs.
  • Create, distribute, and continually improve career education content, including how-to guides and online video instruction.
  • Provide outreach to student groups to deliver partnered career programs, especially events related to diversity, equity, and inclusion.
  • Serve as team lead in one of the following support functions, based on strengths and interests: 1.Event Planning & Management 2.Marketing & Communications 3.Employer Engagement 4.Alumni Engagement 5.Data & Platform Management 6.Career Education Content Management.
