Sponsored Research Services (SRS) provides research administration services to The Texas A&M University System. We further the research goals of the university by delivering efficient and superior service to members of the Texas A&M System research community. Through our services, SRS teams work with several stakeholders to ensure the success of research projects. Requirements

  • Bachelor’s degree or any equivalent combination of education and experience
  • For Assistant Director: Six years of progressively responsible administrative experience, including compliance and supervisory responsibilities, with related experience in accounting, project management, and budget development in a university or business environment, and experience supporting proposal administration, proposal preparation, or identifying funding/sponsorship opportunities.
  • For Associate Director: Eight years of administration experience, accounting experience, with some management experience.

  • Bachelor’s degree in a related field
  • Experience managing complex federal research projects
  • Familiarity with SRS and TAMU Financial Management Operations (FMO) procedures
  • Experience supervising professional personnel

Responsibilities

  • Support faculty members in the preparation, review, and submission of research proposals.
  • Interpret and effectively communicate sponsor guidelines to ensure compliance with all requirements.
  • Budget preparation and compliance verification with sponsor regulations and Texas A&M University System Member policies.
  • Coordinate and compile proposal materials in collaboration with internal and external collaborators.
  • Ensure accurate final proposal preparation, review and submission while adhering to strict deadlines.
