About The Position

The Assistant Foreman is responsible for assisting on site management of all JHL craft personnel. Through daily coordination with the Foreman, this position will track, prioritize, and assign tasks in order to facilitate the needs of the project schedule. He/she will assist in overseeing the project in the field and assist in managing JHL’s safety and quality programs. The Assistant Concrete Foreman will be a key player in helping train and instructing JHL craft for efficient and quality work in addition to the development of skills.

Requirements

  • 3+ Years as industry carpenter
  • Basic computer skills
  • Ability to accurately report time and units.
  • Strong attention to detail.
  • Effective organization skills.
  • Demonstrates resilience in challenging situations.

  • Shows adaptability to changing circumstances.

Responsibilities

  • Direct and manage the building of temporary structures for office units, plan tables, install shelves, setup tool trailers and/or Conex’s.
  • Hand-set forms and/or assemble and set gang forms.
  • Accurately shoot grades and elevations.
  • Manage unloading, handling, stockpiling, staging of all materials.
  • Concrete and rough carpentry
  • Handset Walls
  • Footings
  • Gang Wall Forms
  • Structural Concrete Decks
  • In wall and roof blocking
  • Finish Carpentry, including doors, frames, and hardware
  • Place and finish concrete
  • Advanced plan reading
  • Knowledge of supervisory responsibilities.
  • Leads and manages carpenter crew(s)
  • All other duties as assigned.
  • Cooperate and coordinate with others when in a team environment.
  • Accept direction from supervisors.
  • Follow and implement company rules and procedures.
  • Punctual and consistent attendance
  • Detail oriented
  • Must be able to operate tools and equipment: table saw, skil saw, belt & disc sanders, drill presses, fall protection, rigging and form systems.
