Organization: SMCS-Sutter Med Center - Sacramento Position Overview: Accountable for patient-care outcomes through the assimilation and application of evidence-based information to design, implement, and evaluate patient-care processes and models of care delivery. Promotes creating the best care plan for patients and their families. With the patient in the center, coordinates care between providers involved in the patients’ care. Provides advisement and counsel regarding complicated patient cases. Sutter Medical Center, Sacramento is the foundation of Sutter Health, Northern California's largest health network with 29 acute care hospitals, more than 5,000 primary care physicians and specialists, home health, occupational health, psychiatric care and more. The downtown Sacramento Medical Center is made up of several facilities that include Ose Adams Medical Pavilion, Anderson Lucchetti Women's & Children's Center, and Sutter Center for Psychiatry. Ose Adams Medical Pavilion The 281-bed specialty medical center focuses on general acute medical/surgical care as well as a medical base to advanced services for cancer, orthopedics, spine, and neurology, and neurosurgery. Anderson Lucchetti Women's & Children's Center The 242-bed specialty medical center focuses on women's and children's specialty services and includes medical intensive care units for cardiac and neurological patients. Job Description : 2:30pm-11pm Monday-Friday and Weekend Call

Requirements

  • Graduate of an accredited school of nursing.
  • RN -Registered Nurse for the state where care is provided
  • BLS -Basic Life Support Health Provider
  • ACLS -Advanced Cardiac Life Support
  • 4 years recent relevant experience.
  • Solid understanding of operations and workflows and how department’s process/workflow impacts other flows or departments.
  • Knowledge and understanding of applicable local, state, federal and other health care laws, regulations and requirements – e.g., TJC, Medi-Cal, Medicare.
  • Demonstrated leadership skills, including team building, and coaching/mentoring with the ability to motivate and engage others.
  • Demonstrated ability to identify and resolve technical and operational issues problems as guided by policies, and procedures, or guidance from leadership.
  • Ability to build and establish effective working partnership with employees, peers and/or leaders to achieve business objectives.
  • Understands age specific needs in providing care to patient population served.
  • Demonstrates ability to handle confidential and sensitive issues.
  • Verbal and written communication and interpersonal skills.
  • Ability to handle difficult circumstances and make sound business decisions with little direction.
  • Demonstrates ability to work in a dynamic and fast-paced environment with changing business priorities.
  • Demonstrates organizational and time management skills, with the ability to prioritize multiple projects while delivering quality service/achieving business results.
  • Demonstrates commitment to providing exceptional customer service and responding to customer needs/requests in a prompt, courteous manner.
