About The Position

Delaware North Sportservice is seeking an Assistant Catering Manager to join their team at Truist Park in Atlanta, Georgia. This role involves assisting with all catered events. The ideal candidate will maintain a professional attitude, work cooperatively under pressure, possess a positive, can-do attitude, be detail-oriented, and have a well-rounded knowledge of the foodservice industry. Requirements

  • Minimum 2 years’ related experience
  • Previous experience with restaurant or banquet operations
  • Previous experience with guest service
  • Previous experience with recruiting
  • Previous experience with training
  • Familiar with the hospitality or entertainment industry
  • Strong communication skills
  • Strong organizational skills
  • Strong customer service skills
  • Ability to make informed decisions from analyzed data
  • Experience using Microsoft Word
  • Experience using PowerPoint
  • Experience using Outlook
  • Ability to learn catering software

Responsibilities

  • Work closely with the Catering Manager to develop and maintain guest relationships
  • Assists with booking, set-up, and tear-down, and full execution of catered events
  • Maintain established food presentation and service standards, providing ongoing developments based upon current trends in the catering industry
  • Maintain an organized system of comprehensive record-keeping for each catered event, local event days, monthly inventory, requisitions, as well as appropriate levels of related catering supplies and decorations in keeping with the seasons
  • Assist with recruitment for hourly team members, including working with the Talent Acquisition team to pre-screen candidates, conduct interviews, and identify individuals for hire
