About The Position

Easterseals NH Camp Sno-Mo, in collaboration with the Scouts of America Daniel Webster Council, offers a nationally-recognized residential camp experience for youth ages 11 to 21 with disabilities. Campers participate inclusively in a wide range of activities including aquatics, archery, riflery, zip lines, ropes courses, STEAM, ecology, arts and crafts, sailing, canoeing, and adaptive horseback riding. The Assistant Camp Director will help coordinate camp programs to meet the educational, recreational, social, and therapeutic needs of these campers, ensuring a life-changing experience.

Requirements

• Minimum of 21 years of age
• Bachelor's Degree in Recreation, Education or related field
• 3+ years of experience in an overnight residential camp
• Valid driver's license and reliable vehicle

Responsibilities

• Ensure the health, welfare, and safety of everyone at the camp through staff recruitment, training, supervision, maintenance of facilities and equipment, and implementation of operational procedures.
• Assist with the development, implementation, and evaluation of recreational programs to maintain or improve the abilities of persons with disabilities.
• Engage in education and information activities to foster public awareness and positive response to the camping program.
• Provide the Camp Director with information and recommendations to facilitate effective camp operations.
• Adhere to a Safety/Risk Management Program, including assessment, evaluation, establishment of procedures, incident review, workplace engineering, and training to ensure a safe and healthy workplace environment.
