Requirements

  • High school graduate or equivalent
  • Thorough knowledge of Credit Union products, services, and policies
  • Understanding of Teller/Member Service Representative functions
  • Knowledge of Loan Officer duties
  • Two to five years of related operations experience
  • Strong interpersonal and communication skills
  • Well organized
  • Able to operate related computer applications and basic business equipment
  • Good marketing skills
  • Good supervisory abilities

Responsibilities

  • Assisting with the direction and administration of Branch operations
  • Ensuring that established policies and procedures are followed
  • Overseeing the provision of a full range of services to members and prospective members
  • Ensuring that members are promptly and professionally served
  • Acting as Branch Manager as necessary
  • Training, directing, and assisting in supervising Branch staff
  • Performing various Branch functions as required
  • Assume responsibility for assisting in the supervision of Branch operations
  • Ensure that operations are conducted in accordance with established Credit Union policies, legal and regulatory requirements, and audit standards and provide suggestions for improved effectiveness
  • Ensure Branch security
  • Assist with opening and closing the building in accordance with set hours
  • Test security equipment as assigned
  • Ensure that the Branch balances all transactions at the close of each day
  • Proof Tellers, runs related reports, and balance the vault at the end of each day
  • Provide assistance to Tellers as needed
  • Completes month end certification of all cash items and negotiable instruments
  • Assist with Service Representative functions
  • Perform duties related to loan processing, certificates of deposit, and IRAs
  • Handle direct deposit functions and safe deposit boxes
  • Assist in opening new member accounts and with loan closings and disbursements
  • Promote Branch business development and seeks to broaden member base
  • Actively cross-sell Credit Union products and services
  • Complete required reports and records and ensures that Branch functions are properly documented
  • Assist with implementing changes to established policy and procedures within the Branch
  • Assume responsibility for establishing and maintaining effective coordination and working relations with Branch personnel
  • Provide assistance, direction, and supervision as needed, including guidance for Tellers, and Service Representatives
  • Review and monitors the work of Branch personnel
  • Provide suggestions and support as necessary
  • Assist with orientation of new employees and staff training sessions
  • Ensure that personnel are well trained in all phases of their respective jobs
  • Perform cross training as necessary
  • Assist with determining appropriate staffing levels and scheduling employees
  • Assist with tracking individual progress and conducting performance appraisals
  • Formulate and implements corrective actions as needed
  • Member Service and cross sell goals met
  • Coaching of service and cross sell goals met
  • Act as a Loan Officer, processing and approving member loans within established policies and limit
  • Assume responsibility for establishing and maintaining effective, professional business relations with members
  • Ensure that members' requests and questions are promptly and courteously resolved
  • Answer members' questions or refers appropriately
  • Verify deposits and provides payoff and bluebook quotes
  • Ensure the members are informed of Credit Union services, products, and policies
  • Cross-sell services
  • Ensure that the Credit Union's professional reputation is maintained
  • Assume responsibility for related duties as required or assigned
  • Replace Branch Manager as necessary
  • Assist with personnel functions as assigned
  • Ensure that work area is clean, secure, and well maintained
  • Check Approval Limit and Fee Refunds
  • Can approve checks with no hold up to $2,500+
  • Can refund any fees if the credit union is clearly at fault
