About The Position

Event & Operations Leadership · Oversee banquet setup, service, and breakdown to ensure alignment with event orders and standards · Lead associates during events, ensuring service, timing, and presentation meet expectations · Partner with culinary and event teams to ensure seamless execution · Communicate with clients and on-site contacts to meet event needs in real time · Process banquet billing accurately and on time Team Leadership & Development · Train, coach, and support banquet associates, including beverage service standards and responsible alcohol service · Foster a positive, respectful, and team-oriented work environment · Assist with scheduling aligned to forecasts and labor budgets Beverage Operations & Oversight · Oversee all banquet beverage operations, ensuring execution aligns with event specifications and brand standards · Manage inventory, ordering, and product levels for liquor, beer, wine, and mixers · Ensure compliance with all liquor laws and company policies · Monitor beverage cost controls and maintain accurate inventory · Partner with leadership to enhance beverage offerings and efficiencies Operational Excellence · Maintain cleanliness, organization, and readiness of banquet spaces and storage areas · Enforce safety standards, service expectations, and compliance requirements · Respond promptly and professionally to guest concerns · Participate in BEO, F&B, and operational meetings · Perform additional duties as needed to support successful operations What We’re Looking For We’re seeking a confident, organized leader who thrives in a fast-paced environment and leads by example. Qualifications: · 2+ years of Food & Beverage experience, including supervisory responsibility · Prior banquet experience required · Strong knowledge of banquet and catering operations · Ability to lead effectively during high-volume events · Excellent communication and guest service skills · Strong organizational and time management abilities · Working knowledge of POS systems and basic computer applications Beverage Knowledge: · Understanding of wine, beer, and spirits service · Knowledge of liquor laws and responsible alcohol service practices · Previous bartending or beverage leadership experience preferred · TIPS certification (or ability to obtain) Additional Requirements: · Ability to stand and move for extended periods · Ability to lift up to 35 lbs. · Availability to work evenings, weekends, and holidays · Professionalism, positivity, and a team-first mindset About Us At Marcus Hotels & Resorts, our people are our greatest asset. Requirements

  • 2+ years of Food & Beverage experience, including supervisory responsibility
