About The Position

Required Qualifications For all ranks: An earned master’s and/or doctorate in electrical and/or computer engineering or a closely related discipline. The ability to teach courses in electrical and computer engineering. Demonstrated excellence in written and oral communication. For the Assistant Professor of Practice Rank: Minimum of five years of recent experience in a full-time professional practice or management capacity in any of these fields: Circuits and systems, digital electronics, power systems and electronics, IoT, renewable energy, and Smart Grid Systems. For the Associate Professor of Practice Rank: Minimum of ten years of recent experience in a full-time professional practice or management capacity in any of these fields: Circuits and systems, digital electronics, power systems and electronics, IoT, renewable energy, and Smart Grid Systems.

  • Experience in curriculum development and enhancement in electrical and computer engineering programs.
  • Proven track record of successful student mentoring and support in an academic environment.
  • Industrial or post-doctoral experience.
  • An area of expertise that complements the existing strengths of the department faculty.
  • Knowledge about ABET accreditation procedures and deliverables.
