About The Position

Advise and register students, participate in retention, placement, and educational activities; Demonstrate ability to supervise independent research projects; Maintain accurate academic records for students; Participate in the development and coordination of course schedules; Participate in instructional committees; Assist in student recruitment; Assume College committee responsibilities; Participate in College community service; Participate in professional development; Demonstrate experience in using technology for course instruction Teach 12 credit hours per semester, conduct scholarly work, and be responsible for professional service including committee work, student advisement/recruitment, and course and program development. The successful candidate must be able to teach a combination of the following courses: Social Sciences Statistics, U.S. National Government, State and Local Government, Public Policy, Political Parties, Political Change and Modernization, Comparative Government, International Relations, U.S. Government, Foreign Policy, and Modern Ideologies

Requirements

  • Ph. D. required
  • Submit a completed Benedict College application
  • Submit three reference letters
  • Submit official college transcript(s)
  • Submit a current background check
  • Submit a cover letter addressing how you meet the qualifications of the position, including teaching experience
