About The Position

Meredith College seeks qualified applicants to the position of Assistant or Associate Professor in Social Work. This full-time tenure-track position includes program director administrative duties and a 2-3 teaching load. Appointment, pending budget for next fiscal year, will begin August 1, 2026.

Requirements

• Applicants must have a Master of Social Work degree or doctoral degree in Social Work from a CSWE accredited institution.
• Applications with an MSW and a doctoral degree in a related discipline will be considered.
• Applicants should have 2 years post-MSW practice experience
• Demonstrated excellence in teaching.

Nice To Haves

• Experience with CSWE accreditation preferred.

Responsibilities

• Serving as the Program Director for the undergraduate Social Work program
• Teaching on campus at the undergraduate level (including Introduction to Social Work, Generalist Social Work Practice with Families and Groups in the Fall, and other courses in future semesters)
• Student academic advising
• College and departmental service
• Engagement in scholarly or professional activities
• Coordinating the program's CSWE accreditation processes.
