The Department of Pathology at Stanford University seeks an outstanding MD or MD/PhD with expertise in surgical pathology to join the Department at the rank of Assistant, Associate, or Full Professor in the University Medical Line or Clinician Educator Line. Successful candidates will join the faculty in the Department of Pathology, which currently includes a Nobel laureate, multiple members of the National Academies, and many other investigators with national and international distinctions. In conjunction with its outstanding research program, the Department of Pathology educates outstanding graduate students, residents and fellows and is responsible annually for over 20 million laboratory tests and over 200,000 anatomic pathology specimens spanning 12 subspecialties. Requirements

  • MD or MD/PhD
  • Expertise in surgical pathology
  • Board eligibility in Anatomic Pathology or Anatomic and Clinical Pathology

Nice To Haves

  • Subspecialty fellowship training in head and neck, cardiothoracic, gastrointestinal, soft tissue, or urologic pathology
  • Expertise in a secondary subspecialty
