Job Description Nevada Women's Basketball Coach Comp Grade B – Assistant Coaches, Women’s Basketball Assistant coaches are primarily responsible for teaching and training of technical information related to the performance of the sport, instruction related to technique of the sport, student-athlete conditioning, and tutoring regarding practice methods and imparting strategies for competing. Assistant coaches assist with recruitment and retention of student-athletes, public relations, program promotion and program administration. Higher level assistant coaches may advise student-athletes regarding athletic, academic and social issues and assist the Head coach in management duties such as guiding junior coaches, budgeting, and logistical coordination. Comp Grade C – Senior Assistant Coach, Women’s Basketball In addition to the above, the Senior Assistant Coach, Women’s Basketball is directly responsible for practice and competition coaching and staff management of assistant coaches. Comp Grade D - Associate Head Coach, Women’s Basketball In addition to the duties of Assistant Coaches, the Associate Head Coach, Women’s Basketball, assists the Head Coach in all aspects of a competitive Division IA program. This position supervises all Assistant Coaches as directed by the Head Coach and serves as Acting Head Coach in his/her absence. This position is responsible for fiscal management, program administration and promotion, and fundraising.

Requirements

  • Bachelor’s Degree and two years of relevant work experience
  • Master’s Degree and one year of relevant work experience
  • Relevant Experience: team coaching experience (note: some positions may require team coaching experience at an NCAA I, II, III, NAIA, Junior College or high school level)
  • Bachelor’s Degree and four years of related professional experience
  • Master’s Degree and two years of related professional experience
  • Relevant Experience: team coaching experience (note: some positions may require team coaching experience at an NCAA I, II, III, NAIA, Junior College or high school level)
  • Bachelor’s Degree and five years of related professional experience
  • Master’s Degree and three years of related professional experience
  • Doctorate and one year of related professional experience
  • Relevant Experience: team coaching experience (note: some positions may require team coaching experience at an NCAA I, II, III, NAIA, Junior College or high school level)

Responsibilities
