About The Position

The Assistant Administrator creates and maintains an environment where staff are highly engaged and focused on striving to provide the highest level of care and compassion to patients, residents and families.

Requirements

  • Desire to enrich resident and staff’s lives
  • Nursing Home Administrator licensing REQUIRED (newly licensed OK)
  • Demonstrated ability to maintain positive employee and community relationships
  • Superior customer service skills
  • Knowledge of reimbursement regulations and nursing practices and procedures
  • Commitment to follow all applicable policies and procedures as well as current federal, state and local standards, guidelines and regulations that govern long term care facilities
  • Ability to react to emergency situations appropriately when required
  • Excellent interpersonal skills; well-developed written and verbal communication skills
  • Skilled communicator, director and motivator
  • Able to organize and prioritize many tasks effectively
  • Reliable transportation required

Responsibilities

  • Assist in managing overall operations, leadership, management and success of facility
  • Attract and retain top performing team members
  • Responsible for assisting with financial management, quality assurance, regulatory management, business development goals, maximization of revenue, family relations, and resident care
  • Perform regular rounds to monitor delivery of nursing care, operation of support departments, cleanliness and appearance of the facility; morale of the staff; and ensures patient/resident needs are addressed
