The ideal candidate for the Assistant Account Executive position is a self-motivated, relationship-driven professional looking to grow within the specialty insurance industry. The Assistant Account Executive serves as a key point of contact between SPG's Account Executives, retail brokers, and carrier underwriters — managing the day-to-day dialogue and coordination that keeps accounts moving. Experience in the insurance industry is encouraged, but not a requirement.

  • Coordinate with underwriters to track policy issuance, endorsements, and outstanding documentation, following up proactively to resolve open items
  • Support the AE in preparing renewal strategies, including gathering account data and communicating with underwriters on expiring terms
  • Maintain broker and underwriter relationships through consistent, professional, and knowledgeable interaction
  • Stay current on carrier appetites, underwriting guidelines, and market changes to better serve the Account Executive
  • Perform other duties as directed by the Account Executive
