About The Position

The Asset Pricing and Valuation Manager is responsible for managing complex analysis, modeling, and reporting on factors that impact pricing and revenue generation for GM Financial's off ‑ lease portfolio. This team member leads and coaches a team of quantitative analysts and constructs recommendations and communications for senior management. The role supports strategic initiatives across IT, systems, emerging data technologies, and vendor relationships, requiring cross ‑ department collaboration. In this role you will: Implement used car pricing strategies, recommendations, and reporting Maintain knowledge of asset prices, market trends, and portfolio dynamics Understand and curate remarketing data sources for pricing analysis Conduct ad hoc research including design, data collection, analysis, and presentation Develop clear and actionable pricing recommendations for management Liaise with Data Science and Remarketing Operations to support data ‑ driven models and policies Support strategic initiatives involving pricing systems, data technology, and third ‑ party vendors Coach and mentor direct reports to ensure quality, accuracy, accountability, and compliance

Requirements

  • Strong quantitative, analytical, and data interpretation skills
  • Knowledge of used vehicle markets and economic price drivers
  • Understanding of pricing, economics, and data modeling principles
  • Ability to identify data ‑ driven solutions to business issues
  • Ability to link pricing decisions to revenue generation
  • Experience with technical systems, data warehouses, and analysis techniques
  • Solid understanding of remarketing business operations
  • Advanced coding, Excel, Word, and PowerPoint skills
  • Strong written and verbal presentation skills, including communication with senior leadership
  • Detail ‑ oriented with ability to manage multiple deadlines
  • Collaborative interpersonal skills for working with internal teams and vendors
  • Ability to apply quantitative and problem ‑ solving skills to complex issues
  • Ability to work independently with minimal supervision
  • Strong coding proficiency and ability to manipulate large datasets
  • Ability to ensure data integrity
  • Adaptive, team ‑ oriented mindset
  • Ability to apply financial, economic, and statistical principles
  • 1–3 years in management, leadership, or a strong mentorship role (required)
  • 3–5 years in asset pricing, valuation, and forecasting (required)
  • Bachelor’s Degree or equivalent work experience (required)

Nice To Haves

  • Master’s Degree in Statistics, Applied Mathematics, Econometrics, Finance, Operations Research, or similar quantitative field (preferred)
