The Landowner Relations Intern will support the Landowner Manager and the Operations & Maintenance team in day-to-day activities related to landowner communication, documentation, and permitting support across Acciona Energía’s renewable energy projects. This internship provides hands-on learning in stakeholder engagement, land management, and renewable energy operations, offering exposure to how large-scale energy projects are managed and maintained.

Requirements

  • Currently pursuing a Bachelor’s degree in Engineering, Business, Environmental Science, Geography, or a related field.
  • Strong verbal and written communication skills.
  • Detail-oriented with good organizational and time-management abilities.
  • Proficiency in Microsoft Office Suite (Word, Excel, Outlook, PowerPoint).
  • Interest in renewable energy, stakeholder relations, and/or land management.

Nice To Haves

  • Coursework or experience related to renewable energy, land use, urban planning or environmental permitting.
  • Familiarity with GIS tools or mapping software.
  • Bilingual abilities (English/Spanish) a plus.

Responsibilities

  • Stakeholder engagement Support Assist with communication and outreach to landowners.
  • Participate in community engagement activities and landowner meetings.
  • Project & Permitting Support permitting and compliance documentation, including tracking and organizing landowner notifications.
  • Help maintain accurate records of landowner communications, agreements, payments and permits in company systems.
  • Assist with preparing materials that translate technical project details (e.g., site maps, access routes) into clear, easy-to-understand formats.
  • Cross-Functional Collaboration Collaborate with internal teams (legal, construction, engineering, and operations) to understand how landowner information supports operational success.
  • Help with the intake and organization of data for projects entering operation.
  • Technical & Administrative Tasks Learn and assist in using land management and permitting software, including: SIGA: contract and payment management Geographical Viewer (GIS): project mapping and spatial data visualization CGA: permitting workflow management Help with document organization, database updates, and other administrative duties as assigned.
