About The Position

Since 2003, Carolina Outreach has been assisting children, families, and adults across North Carolina with their behavioral health needs. They are a group of highly trained behavioral health professionals dedicated to promoting the emotional and physical well-being of the community in a safe and respectful environment. They provide a comprehensive and integrative array of behavioral health services and supports for people of all ages with varying levels of need, utilizing an equitable and inclusive approach. The focus is on helping clients tap into and develop their inherent strengths to support the highest quality of life possible. The organization is seeking a full-time ACT Psych Rehab Specialist to join their Assertive Community Treatment (ACT) team. This role involves providing community-based, in-home individual and family interventions for clients with mental health and substance use challenges. The focus is on promoting symptom stability, enhancing coping skills, fostering interpersonal relationships, and supporting individuals in achieving their highest level of functioning within the community.

Requirements

  • At a minimum, the ACT Psychosocial Rehabilitation Specialist - QP must have QP status according to 10A NCAC 27G.0104, including a Bachelor's Degree in a human services field with more than two years full-time, post-Bachelor MH/DD/SA experience with the population served
  • or be a Substance Use Disorder Professional who has two years or more full-time post-bachelor experience in alcoholism and drug abuse counseling
  • or a Bachelor’s Degree in a non-human services field with more than four years full-time, post-bachelor MH/DD/SA experience with population served
  • or be a Substance Use Disorder Professional who has four or more years full-time, post-bachelor experience in alcoholism and drug abuse counseling.
  • Strong organizational, interpersonal, and communication skills.
  • Ability to work collaboratively within a multidisciplinary team.
  • Must be free from all illicit substance use.

Nice To Haves

  • Previous experience working with mental health and/or substance abuse clients is preferred.

Responsibilities

  • Deliver client-centered therapy, counseling, and behavioral interventions based on individualized treatment plans.
  • Support clients’ daily living skills, work readiness, and participation in meaningful activities.
  • Collaborate with clients, families, and community resources to coordinate care and achieve treatment goals.
  • Maintain accurate documentation and ensure compliance with ACT model standards.
