About The Position

Assemble boats by following specific boat construction order. A variety of tasks are performed building the components of each boat using power and non-power hand tools working from specifications and schematic drawings. Apply high energy, self-motivation, and initiative to learn and be trained on various types of equipment and processes. Ability to use safely and effectively high-speed pneumatic and battery powered power tools: drills, drivers etc., hand tools, etc. Must be able to read drawings and specifications. Complete required documentation of finished parts for production purposes. Daily job duties will be varied and dynamic. Workload will be tracked via daily schedules and assignments requiring responsibility and accountability for quality and timeliness of completion. Ability to perform job functions safely and effectively in a fast-paced environment while wearing all required PPE. Practice good housekeeping. Other duties as assigned.

Requirements

  • High School diploma or general education degree (GED); or one to three months related experience and/or training; or equivalent combination of education and experience.
  • Ability to read and interpret documents such as safety rules, operating and maintenance instructions, and procedure manuals.
  • Ability to write routine reports and correspondence.
  • Ability to speak effectively before groups of customers or employees of organization.
  • Ability to add, subtracts, multiply, and divides in all units of measure, using whole numbers, common fractions, and decimals.
  • Ability to compute rate, ratio, and percent and to draw and interpret bar graphs.
  • Ability to apply common sense understanding to carry out detailed but uninvolved written or oral instructions.
  • Ability to deal with problems involving a few concrete variables in standardized situations.
