Requirements

  • Must be a US person as defined by the US regulations: Any individual who is granted U.S. citizenship; Any individual who is granted U.S. permanent residence (i.e., a "Green Card" holder); Any individual who is granted status as a "protected person".
  • High School diploma or equivalent.
  • 3+ years of assembly experience in an electronics or high-reliability manufacturing environment (military/defense/ruggedized preferred).
  • Proficiency with hand tools, power tools, electrical/electronic assembly (soldering, wiring/harnesses, connectors), mechanical assembly (fasteners, brackets, enclosures).
  • Ability to read and interpret engineering drawings, BOMs, assembly work instructions, wiring diagrams.
  • Strong attention to detail and workmanship quality; ability to follow strict procedures and document work.
  • Dexterity and ability to handle small components, connectors, shielding materials.
  • Comfortable working in a manufacturing environment with moderate lifting (up to ~50 lbs occasionally), standing for long periods, bending, working on assembly benches.
  • Good communication skills, ability to work in a team and interface with test/engineering/manufacturing support.
  • Proven ability to meet schedule, maintain productivity, and handle multiple tasks/priorities in a fast-paced environment.

Nice To Haves

  • Experience in defense or secure manufacturing environments (TEMPEST, MIL-STD, ruggedized electronics).
  • Basic knowledge of electronics (voltage levels, wiring practices, shielding, grounding).
  • Familiarity with inspection methods, torque tools, crimp tools, solder rework, cable/harness assembly.
  • Experience working under a quality management system (e.g., ISO 9001) and knowledge of inspection/test documentation.
  • Demonstrated continuous improvement mindset; experience with Lean/5S/Kaizen practices.

Responsibilities

  • Carry out assembly of components, sub‐assemblies and complete systems according to work instructions, engineering drawings and BOMs.
  • Perform mechanical and electrical integration tasks: install PCBs, cables/wire-harnesses, connectors, enclosures, mounting hardware, shielding, grounding, etc.
  • Conduct intermediate assembly inspections to verify alignment, torqueing, proper interconnects, cleanliness, shielding integrity, and meet quality standards.
  • Perform functional checks or hand-off for test, and communicate found issues to test/engineering.
  • Follow and enforce strict manufacturing process controls, configuration control, workmanship standards (e.g., soldering, crimping, fastening) and documentation/tracking (paper or electronic travelers).
  • Work closely with Test Engineers or Technicians to support debug, rework or modification of assemblies as needed.
  • Maintain production area housekeeping, tool calibration/maintenance, and adherence to 5S and EHS (environmental, safety & health) practices.
  • Adhere to security and access requirements (e.g., clean room or controlled area, secure material handling) as required for secure manufacturing.
  • Participate in continuous improvement initiatives, suggest process enhancements to improve yield, reduce rework, increase throughput without compromising quality.
  • Meet production schedule targets while maintaining quality and reliability goals.
