The Dogwood team is dedicated to finding creative design solutions to meet our customers' needs. General Job Description Dogwood Industries is seeking an Assembly Specialist to join our team. A successful candidate is someone who can efficiently and accurately assemble components and materials, in accordance with plans and specifications, as directed by others. The candidate must be able to understand written and verbal instructions while following drawings and work instructions. While the individual will work with metal cladding, insulation, and steel components; a successful candidate will have experience in carpentry or roofing, material handling, mechanical assembly, and maintain a safe work environment through organization and housekeeping.

Requirements

  • High school diploma, general education degree or vocational degree.
  • 2+ years of experience with general trade skills for siding/roofing/metalworking or assembly.
  • Ability to select the proper tool for the tasks and ensure proper operation.
  • Skillful operation of non-specialized shop equipment.
  • Participates in the development of processes for repeatable execution of tasks.

Responsibilities

  • Assembling of structural metal building panels in a manufacturing setting.
  • Operation of hand and power tools.
  • Accurate use of measuring devices including squares and tape measures.
  • Participation in safe material handling and suspended load movements.
  • Ability to follow instructions and execute assigned duties.
  • Complete tasks within set timeframes to ensure goals are met.
  • Follow safety guidelines and procedures at all times.
  • Perform all other duties as assigned.
