Role snapshot Team scope: Guide a group of 8–12 production team members within a structured cell under a Group Leader. Focus: Elevate team capability, drive consistent quality, and sustain continuous improvement. Tools: SAP, Standard Work, KPIs, Hour by Hour Boards, 5S, DuPont STOP observations, and work stacks.

Requirements

  • Leadership experience (professional or volunteer).
  • Servant-leader approach with a people-first mindset.
  • Excellent written and verbal communication; strong troubleshooting and problem-solving.
  • Proven leadership capabilities.
  • High school diploma or equivalent.
  • Ability to stand for extended periods; some sitting, manual dexterity, stooping, and bending.
  • Passing a pre-employment physical including a baseline test of lifting a minimum of 50 pounds
  • Passing a pre-employment drug screen and background check

Nice To Haves

  • Understanding of manufacturing processes preferred.

Responsibilities

  • Run daily pre-shift huddles covering safety, quality, HR items, and production objectives.
  • Onboard, train, and mentor new team members; serve as their first point of contact.
  • Ensure safe work practices and secure appropriate PPE for the team.
  • Promote idea generation and support CI initiatives with the team.
  • Escalate production or systemic issues to the Group Leader.
  • Keep communication flowing between shifts and among Team Leads/Leaders.
  • Track and publish KPIs and related performance metrics for your area.
  • Author, maintain, and audit Team Member Standard Work.
  • Complete Hour by Hour Boards, conduct 5S audits, perform DuPont STOP observations, and manage work stacks.
  • Coach through conflict, partnering with Group and Area Leaders to resolve issues.
  • Use SAP to facilitate and document the manufacturing process.
  • Support additional operational tasks as needed.
