Volkswagen Group of America’s 6-Month Co-op Program offers undergraduate students the opportunity to gain immersive, hands-on experience in the automotive industry over an extended period. Designed for driven, curious, and highly motivated students, the program provides meaningful exposure to real projects that contribute directly to Volkswagen’s success. Throughout the co-op term, participants develop both professional and technical skills through on-the-job training, mentorship, and collaboration with industry experts. This experience allows students to deepen their understanding of their field, strengthen their career readiness, and make a tangible impact within one of the world’s most innovative automotive companies. The Assembly Maintenance Co-op will support the Production Maintenance team within the Assembly Shop at Volkswagen Chattanooga. This role focuses on assisting with maintenance projects and contributing to the launch of new software designed to guide and optimize preventative maintenance activities. The Co-op will gain hands-on experience in a production environment, working closely with maintenance technologies such as drives, conveyors, tooling, and PLCs.
