Requirements

Enrolled in Mechanical Engineering, Manufacturing Engineering, or a related program
Strong mechanical aptitude and hands-on skills
Solid math and logical reasoning abilities
Detail-focused with a results-driven mindset
Comfortable using computers for reading documents and modifying files
Familiar with basic shop and hand tools
Ability to stand for extended periods and lift up to 60 pounds

Nice To Haves

Experience with metrology tools like calipers and micrometers
Worked in a manufacturing environment or machine shop
Automotive mechanic experience or similar hands-on background
Can read and interpret mechanical drawings
Understanding of subtractive manufacturing processes
Designed fixtures or jigs for assembly or fabrication

Responsibilities

Operate laser markers and cutters, power tools, forklifts, and other machinery with increasing independence
Use precision equipment to execute assembly tasks including pin installation, threaded insert installation, part marking, and finish application
Follow work instructions to the letter and ensure every product meets customer requirements
Create fixtures, tooling, and supporting equipment that make assembly processes better
Develop detailed process plans that actually work on the shop floor
Drive process improvements that increase efficiency and quality
Inspect and measure in-process and finished products to maintain our high standards
Document your work accurately and maintain meticulous time tracking records
Follow our Quality Manual, procedures, and training requirements
Maintain a clean, organized workspace that meets our high standards
Make deliveries and pickups from vendors and local suppliers as needed
Package finished products with care and attention to detail
