About The Position

Assembles automotive components by utilizing staples guns to assemble and gather component by performing the duties listed below. Essential Duties and Responsibilities: Works as a member of an assembly group assembling one or two specific parts by using air staple guns and passing unit to another work in the area. Trims excess thread or material from parts as required. Produces quality products according to Operator Instruction Sheets and uses visual aids if needed. Understands how to determine good quality products and the impact of bad quality products. Places nonconforming products in designated areas. First off / Last off comparison. Uses FIFO (first in first out) method by selecting materials with the oldest date first. Notifies Team Leader, Manufacturing Manager, or Maintenance personnel when equipment is not working correctly. Meets and/or exceeds productivity requirements. General housekeeping and maintaining a clutter-free environment. Follows USF’s policies, procedures, and safety rules. Each level of personnel has the authority to stop production for quality issues. Depending on the level, personnel inform the next level to communicate the issue and try to resolve the concerns. Performs other duties as assigned.

Requirements

  • No prior experience or training.
  • On-the-job training is conducted and documented.
  • Ability to apply common sense understanding to carry out simple one or two step instructions.
  • Ability to deal with standardized situations with occasion variables.
  • Ability to stand, walk, sit, talk or hear.
  • Ability to lift and/or move up to 50 pounds.
