About The Position

The Dixon Group is looking for an Assembler to join our Dixon Specialty Products division in Chestertown, MD! We're looking for a reliable individual with a positive attitude and a strong mechanical aptitude to help us build top-quality products. In this hands-on role, you will be responsible for the quality and timely assembly of various components, utilizing small hand tools and/or production machinery. While one year of previous manufacturing experience is preferred, it is not required—we are willing to train candidates who are eager to learn and committed to doing precise work. Requirements

  • High school diploma or equivalent.
  • Comfortable working with tools, parts, and mechanical components.
  • Able to perform addition and subtraction accurately to support production needs.
  • Must be able to lift and maneuver up to 30 lbs. regularly during a shift, with or without reasonable accommodation.
  • Able to perform effectively in a fast-paced manufacturing setting.
  • Capable of completing repetitive motions while maintaining accuracy and quality standards.
  • Able to handle and assemble small parts and components efficiently.
  • Proficient in using hand tools and basic machining equipment safely.
  • Able to follow written and verbal instructions and report any issues or non-conformances promptly.

  • Maintain exceptional attention to detail in every step of the production process.
  • Use computer systems to record production data and track progress.
