About The Position

As part of the team, you will market and generate sales of insurance products through existing agents/brokers and by developing relationships with new clients. This is a remote role, with teams collaborating using video and screen sharing technology. Requirements

  • Minimum of three (3) years’ experience in a related insurance/employee benefit medical sales role.
  • In-depth knowledge of group insurance products.
  • Life/Health Agent’s License is required.
  • Strong knowledge of Microsoft Office, specifically Word, Excel, and Outlook Exchange.
  • Proficient in Internet Explorer.
  • Communicate effectively with all levels of internal and external personnel, both verbally and in writing.
  • Read, comprehend, and interpret moderately complex documents including sales, underwriting, and Company guidelines.
  • Develop and maintain good working relationships and provide positive customer service.
  • Analyze and resolve problems to assist agents/brokers in presenting the best solution to prospective clients.
  • Determine when situations need to be escalated to Company management.
  • Work in and contribute to a positive team environment.
  • Manage multiple responsibilities simultaneously.

Responsibilities

  • Drives increased sales and Company growth by developing positive business relationships with agents/brokers.
  • Maintains an in-depth understanding of the Company’s products and processes and how agents/brokers interact with these products and processes.
  • Maintains increasing knowledge of insurance industry markets, products, and legal environments to provide a value-added service to agents/brokers and their clients.
  • Works in tandem with Account Coordinators to effectively manage agents/brokers and to encourage them to place their clients’ business with the Company by:
  • Conducts regular follow-up and prospective calls to agents/brokers, both in office and on-site to maintain current accounts and market Company services.
  • Assures that ASD is accurately and efficiently processing agent’s requests for quotations and proposals.
  • Assures that ASD is providing information on carrier administrative procedures and product availability, and direction in selection of appropriate group products.
  • Assures that ASD is pre-screening individuals and groups for medical conditions to determine suitable products and risk adjustment factors on premium rates.
  • Assists agents/brokers in presenting Company products to clients by attending client/broker meetings and enrollment meetings.
  • Resolves escalated issues by resolving conflicts, solving problems, and providing feedback to Company management.
  • Actively participates in team meetings, providing input to contribute to the team’s overall success.
  • Keeps abreast of current trends and regulatory issues surrounding benefit plan design and administration.
