The Art Teacher is responsible for developing and delivering engaging art lessons that foster creativity, self-expression, and an appreciation for visual arts. They will guide students in exploring various artistic techniques, mediums, and art history while supporting individual artistic growth. This role involves teaching students with significant emotional/behavioral needs in a clinical residential school setting. The teacher will also develop and monitor student Individual Education Programs (IEP) in accordance with Department of Education regulations and standards, and work collaboratively with the management team to ensure the safety, stability, and wellbeing of students placed through the Department of Children, Youth and Families. This is a part-time, year-round position.
