About The Position

Mansueto Ventures is looking for a personable, highly organized, and detail-oriented Art Director with strong UI/UX experience who would manage multiple cross-device projects in a small digital and marketing design team supporting Inc. , Fast Company , and Mansueto Ventures corporate. This position is hands-on, overseeing the development of branded and co-branded assets, internal sales and marketing documents, event collateral, and developing and maintaining daily content and special editorial packages for the website. The digital art director will report to the VP of Design, working closely with respective art teams to maintain brand consistency, and with the Dev team to build the best product possible. This is a three-day hybrid role (Tuesday-Thursday onsite at the 7 World Trade Center office), but applicants outside the NYC metropolitan area will be considered for a fully remote position if they are the right fit. Salary range: $95,800 - $110,000. Compensation may vary based on relevant experience, skills, industry, and education.

Requirements

  • Bachelor of Fine Arts in Graphic Design or Interaction/Digital Design, or a higher degree.
  • 8 or more years of digital/UX design experience.
  • A solid portfolio showcasing work that illustrates an understanding of UX workflows and strong visual design skills.
  • Strong understanding of and extensive experience working with design systems.
  • Strong communication and collaboration skills.
  • Strong typographic and layout skills.
  • Strong organizational skills and excellent attention to detail.
  • Fluency in Figma, Adobe Creative Suite (InDesign, Photoshop, Illustrator), Keynote, and PowerPoint.
  • High-level understanding of web CMSs, HTML, and CSS.
  • Ability to produce designs on tight turnarounds.

Responsibilities

  • Ideate, create, and execute designs across both digital and print mediums with a strong understanding of design systems.
  • Create digital product templates for Inc.com and FastCompany.com, implementing clean UX based on the established universal brand design language.
  • Bring custom and editorial content to life digitally by adding interactivity or motion graphics.
  • Create branding guidelines for custom content packages.
  • Coordinate with stakeholders across direct-to-consumer, events, sales/marketing, engineering, and editorial departments to create and oversee all aspects of supporting materials for brands’ annual events and sales initiatives as needed, including but not limited to event websites and registration pages in WordPress, Ceros, Swoogo, or other third-party platforms; branded digital assets and motion graphics for corresponding online editorial packages; print ads; marketing collateral; onsite materials; and consumer direct mail packages.
  • Provide art direction to junior designers.
