The New Role… The Art Director will be a key member of the CSSU Creative team, responsible for shaping the visual identity and overall design direction of the TNT Sports streaming app. This role oversees the development, execution, and quality of all graphic materials tied to the app, ensuring a cohesive and engaging user experience. The ideal candidate will bring strong leadership paired with hands-on design expertise. In addition to guiding creative strategies and overseeing the production workflow, the Art Director will directly contribute to projects throughout the concept, design, and execution phases. Collaboration is central to this role, requiring close partnership with stakeholders across the TNT Sports App organization, including product, production, and technical teams. Success in this role requires maintaining a sharp awareness of design trends, industry standards, and emerging technologies—translating that knowledge into innovative, deployable solutions that strengthen the brand and elevate user experience. The candidate will also be expected to follow organizational policies and must be willing to work onsite at least three days per week. Your Role Accountabilities…

Requirements

  • Bachelor’s degree in Graphic Design, Digital Media, or related field, or equivalent professional experience.
  • 7+ years of professional design experience, with at least 3 years in a senior or leadership role (digital products, streaming, or sports media preferred).
  • Proficiency in design and prototyping tools such as Adobe Creative Suite (Photoshop, Illustrator, After Effects), Figma, and similar applications.
  • Strong leadership and collaboration skills, with proven ability to guide creative teams and partner with cross-functional stakeholders.
  • Excellent communication and presentation abilities, with the capacity to articulate design decisions clearly to both creative and non-creative audiences.
  • Creative problem-solving and adaptability, with the ability to balance big-picture vision and day-to-day execution under tight deadlines.
  • Background in UX/UI design systems, with an understanding of accessibility and usability standards.

Responsibilities

  • Lead Visual Design Direction: Define and maintain the visual identity of the TNT Sports app, ensuring consistency across UI, motion graphics, promotional assets, and brand touchpoints.
  • Oversee Creative Execution: Manage the design process from concept to delivery - providing direction, feedback, and quality control on all design output for the platform.
  • Collaborate with Cross-Functional Teams: Work closely with leadership, product, UX and marketing teams to align design solutions with user needs, technical requirements, and business goals.
  • Develop Design Systems: Create scalable design components, style guides, and templates that maintain visual coherence and speed up production across the app ecosystem.
  • Drive Innovation and User Experience: Introduce new design ideas, emerging trends, and creative technologies to enhance storytelling and elevate the overall user experience within the streaming platform.
