About The Position

M Health Fairview EMS has been optimally meeting the needs of our community for more than 134 years. This is a Full Time position (80 hr/2 weeks) with 8 hour shifts, located in East St Paul. Schedule: Mon-Fri, Days with the occasional need to work evening/night for system upgrades/updates and additional a weekend if there is a system downtime. The ARMER System & Data Operations Specialist is responsible for programming, maintaining, and supporting all ARMER radio systems and related communication hardware. This position also manages the configuration, data integrity, and workflow optimization of patient care reporting systems, including ImageTrend. The role serves as the primary data and operations subject-matter expert for EMS documentation, reporting, and performance analysis.

Requirements

  • A.A./A.S. Associate's Degree
  • 3 years Experience in EMS operations, communications systems, or data analysis
  • Experience with ARMER system programming and ImageTrend (or equivalent PCR platform)
  • Advanced knowledge of ARMER radio system programming, talk group configuration, and hardware maintenance
  • ARMER system certification within 1 Year

Nice To Haves

  • A.A./A.S. Associate's Degree in Information Technology, Communications, Healthcare Informatics, or related field
  • B.S./B.A. Bachelor's Degree
  • Experience with EMS data reporting, compliance, or performance analytics
  • NEMISIS or EMS data analytics certification

Responsibilities

  • Programs, configures, and maintains ARMER radios and associated communication hardware used by EMS and operational teams.
  • Coordinates with regional communications centers and system administrators to ensure interoperability, encryption standards, and system compliance.
  • Tracks, inventories, and maintains all radio hardware, ensuring devices are operational, properly configured, and updated.
  • Designs and maintains PCR workflows to ensure efficient and compliant clinical documentation.
  • Develops, maintains, and automates operational and clinical performance reports using PCR and related system data.
  • Analyzes data trends to identify areas for operational improvement, compliance gaps, and training opportunities.
  • Provides training and support to field and administrative staff on radio and PCR systems.
