About The Position

As a Security Officer - Armed Patrol Rover in Columbus, GA, you will serve and safeguard clients in a range of industries such as Aero/Defense, and more. Requirements

• Have 1+ years' armed security, law enforcement, and/or military experience.
• Be at least 18 years of age for unarmed roles; 21+ years of age for armed roles.
• Possess a high school diploma or equivalent.
• As a condition of employment, applicants will be subject to a background investigation in accordance with all federal, state, and local laws.
• Allied Universal will consider qualified applications with criminal histories in a manner consistent with applicable laws.
• As a condition of employment, applicants will be subject to a drug screen to the extent permitted by law.
• Licensing requirements are subject to state and/or local laws and regulations and may be required prior to employment.
• A valid driver’s license will be required for driving positions only.

Nice To Haves

• CPR Certification is preferred.
• Customer service experience is preferred.
• Ability to lift more than 20 lbs is preferred.

Responsibilities

• Provide customer service to personnel and visitors by following security-related procedures, site-specific policies, and when appropriate, emergency response activities at an aerospace and defense location.
• Conduct regular and random foot and/or vehicle patrols of buildings, production areas, parking lots, and perimeter points to help to deter unauthorized activity and/or policy violations.
• Control access at designated entry points by verifying identification, directing visitors, and monitoring inbound and outbound traffic in accordance with site requirements.
• Respond to incidents and critical situations in a calm, problem-solving manner, including initiating notifications, coordinating with site contacts, and documenting actions taken.
• Complete detailed reports and logs, monitor alarms and/or cameras where assigned, and communicate observations and concerns to Allied Universal leadership and site management.
