Job Description Allied Universal is Currently Hiring a Full Time Armed Security Officer for a State Office in Pittsfield MA Monday - Friday 8 AM - 6 PM Starting Pay is $25.88 Per Hour / Paid Orientation / Paid Training Candidate is Required to Have a Concealed Carry Permit and 1+ Years of Previous Security/Law Experience As a Security Officer - Armed Government Patrol in Pittsfield, MA , you will serve and safeguard clients in a range of industries such as Government, and more. As a Patrol Armed Officer with Allied Universal, you will conduct regular patrols at a government location, remaining highly visible to help deter security-related incidents. This armed post requires maintaining strong situational awareness while providing outstanding customer service and communication. You will play a key role in fostering a secure environment, upholding our values of integrity, teamwork, and innovation as you interact with staff and visitors throughout your shift.

Requirements

Possess a valid concealed carry weapons permit.
Be at least 21 years of age for armed roles.
Possess a high school diploma or equivalent.
As a condition of employment, applicants will be subject to a background investigation in accordance with all federal, state, and local laws. Allied Universal will consider qualified applications with criminal histories in a manner consistent with applicable laws.
As a condition of employment, applicants will be subject to a drug screen to the extent permitted by law.
Participate in industry-specific security training programs.
Licensing requirements are subject to state and/or local laws and regulations and may be required prior to employment.
A valid driver’s license will be required for driving positions only.
1+ Years of Previous Security/Law Experience

Responsibilities

Provide customer service by carrying out security-related procedures and site-specific policies, including emergency response activities when appropriate.
Respond to incidents and critical situations at the government location in a calm, problem-solving manner.
Conduct regular and random patrols around the property and its perimeter to help to deter unauthorized activity and/or suspicious behavior.
Monitor access points and verify credentials of individuals entering the premises.
Maintain detailed records of patrols, incidents, and observations as required by site procedures.
Collaborate with law enforcement and emergency personnel when necessary.
Carry and maintain proficiency with assigned firearms and related equipment in accordance with Allied Universal and site-specific guidelines.
Remain alert to potential security-related threats and report any irregularities to the appropriate personnel.
