Job Description Allied Universal is Currently Hiring a Full Time Armed Security Officer for a State Office in Pittsfield MA Monday - Friday 8 AM - 6 PM Starting Pay is $25.88 Per Hour / Paid Orientation / Paid Training Candidate is Required to Have a Concealed Carry Permit and 1+ Years of Previous Security/Law Experience As a Security Officer - Armed Government Patrol in Pittsfield, MA , you will serve and safeguard clients in a range of industries such as Government, and more. As a Patrol Armed Officer with Allied Universal, you will conduct regular patrols at a government location, remaining highly visible to help deter security-related incidents. This armed post requires maintaining strong situational awareness while providing outstanding customer service and communication. You will play a key role in fostering a secure environment, upholding our values of integrity, teamwork, and innovation as you interact with staff and visitors throughout your shift.

Requirements

  • Possess a valid concealed carry weapons permit.
  • Be at least 21 years of age for armed roles.
  • Possess a high school diploma or equivalent.
  • As a condition of employment, applicants will be subject to a background investigation in accordance with all federal, state, and local laws. Allied Universal will consider qualified applications with criminal histories in a manner consistent with applicable laws.
  • As a condition of employment, applicants will be subject to a drug screen to the extent permitted by law.
  • Participate in industry-specific security training programs.
  • Licensing requirements are subject to state and/or local laws and regulations and may be required prior to employment.
  • A valid driver’s license will be required for driving positions only.
  • 1+ Years of Previous Security/Law Experience

Responsibilities

  • Provide customer service by carrying out security-related procedures and site-specific policies, including emergency response activities when appropriate.
  • Respond to incidents and critical situations at the government location in a calm, problem-solving manner.
  • Conduct regular and random patrols around the property and its perimeter to help to deter unauthorized activity and/or suspicious behavior.
  • Monitor access points and verify credentials of individuals entering the premises.
  • Maintain detailed records of patrols, incidents, and observations as required by site procedures.
  • Collaborate with law enforcement and emergency personnel when necessary.
  • Carry and maintain proficiency with assigned firearms and related equipment in accordance with Allied Universal and site-specific guidelines.
  • Remain alert to potential security-related threats and report any irregularities to the appropriate personnel.
