Job Description As a Security Officer - Armed Sheriff's Office i n Brooksville, FL , you will serve and safeguard clients in a range of industries such as Government, and more. Join Allied Universal as an Armed Screener supporting a government location where you will manage entry screening, verify credentials, monitor checkpoints, and help to deter prohibited items from entering. You will stay visible, communicate clearly with the public and staff, document security-related activity, and respond to incidents with professionalism. Requirements

Have at least 2 years' law enforcement, military police, and/or corrections experience.
Possess an armed guard card and/or license.
Be at least 21 years of age.
A guard card and/or license is preferred.
Be at least 21 years of age for armed roles.
Possess a high school diploma or equivalent.
As a condition of employment, applicants will be subject to a background investigation in accordance with all federal, state, and local laws.
Allied Universal will consider qualified applications with criminal histories in a manner consistent with applicable laws.
As a condition of employment, applicants will be subject to a drug screen to the extent permitted by law.
Participate in industry-specific security training programs.
Licensing requirements are subject to state and/or local laws and regulations and may be required prior to employment.
A valid driver’s license will be required for driving positions only.

Responsibilities

Provide customer service to personnel and visitors by following site-specific security-related screening procedures, access control requirements, and when appropriate, emergency response activities at a government location.
Operate and monitor entry screening equipment, perform manual screening as needed, and help to identify prohibited items while maintaining a professional, respectful screening process.
Verify identification and authorization for entry, issue visitor credentials when required, and maintain accurate screening and entry logs per post orders.
Respond to incidents and critical situations in a calm, problem-solving manner, including notifying appropriate authorities and documenting events according to policy.
Conduct regular and random patrols around designated interior areas and the perimeter as assigned; working environments and conditions may vary by location.
