As an Armed Security Officer - Afternoon Patrol in San Diego, CA, you will serve and safeguard clients in a range of industries. As an Allied Universal officer at a cutting-edge technology location, you will monitor and patrol assigned areas, maintain a visible presence to help deter security-related incidents, and deliver outstanding customer service and communication. Requirements

  • Have at least 1 year of security-related experience.
  • Possess an armed guard card or license.
  • Be at least 21 years of age.
  • Possess a high school diploma or equivalent.
  • As a condition of employment, applicants will be subject to a background investigation in accordance with all federal, state, and local laws.
  • Allied Universal will consider qualified applications with criminal histories in a manner consistent with applicable laws.
  • As a condition of employment, applicants will be subject to a drug screen to the extent permitted by law.
  • Participate in industry-specific security training programs.
  • Licensing requirements are subject to state and/or local laws and regulations and may be required prior to employment.
  • A valid driver’s license will be required for driving positions only.

  • Customer service experience is preferred.

Responsibilities

  • Provide customer service to employees, visitors, and vendors while carrying out security-related procedures, site-specific policies, and/or emergency response activities as appropriate.
  • Respond to incidents, unusual activity, and critical situations in a calm, problem-solving manner, and document observations and actions taken in accordance with site guidelines.
  • Conduct regular and random patrols throughout the location, including interior areas, exterior grounds, and perimeter points, helping to identify and report suspicious activity and/or maintenance concerns.
  • Monitor access points and verify authorized entry where required, helping to support site rules, visitor processing, and/or badge and credential checks.
  • Communicate with site contacts, Allied Universal leadership, and/or emergency services as needed regarding incidents, post activities, and changing conditions at the location.
