Requirements

An armed guard card and/or license is required.
Be at least 21 years of age for armed roles.
Possess a high school diploma or equivalent.
As a condition of employment, applicants will be subject to a background investigation in accordance with all federal, state, and local laws.
Allied Universal will consider qualified applications with criminal histories in a manner consistent with applicable laws.
As a condition of employment, applicants will be subject to a drug screen to the extent permitted by law.
Participate in industry-specific security training programs.
Licensing requirements are subject to state and/or local laws and regulations and may be required prior to employment.
A valid driver’s license will be required for driving positions only.

Nice To Haves

Customer service experience is preferred.
Access control and/or badge experience is preferred.
Comfortable using a computer and/or tablet is preferred.

Responsibilities

Provide customer service to employees, visitors, and/or the public by carrying out security-related procedures, location-specific policies, and when appropriate, emergency response activities at a government location.
Respond to incidents, disturbances, and/or critical situations in a calm, problem-solving manner, documenting observations and communicating with supervisors, site contacts, and/or public sector personnel as needed.
Conduct regular and random patrols throughout buildings, grounds, controlled areas, and perimeter points, helping to identify unusual activity, access concerns, and/or policy violations.
Perform access control duties by verifying identification, monitoring entry and exit activity, screening visitors, and helping to support restricted area protocols in accordance with site requirements.
Serve in an armed post by carrying authorized equipment and following all applicable post orders, use of force guidelines, reporting procedures, and Allied Universal standards.
