Requirements
- An armed guard card or license is required.
- Applicants must be at least 21 years of age.
- A valid driver’s license is required in accordance with Allied Universal driver policy requirements.
- Possess a high school diploma or equivalent.
- As a condition of employment, applicants will be subject to a background investigation in accordance with all federal, state, and local laws. Allied Universal will consider qualified applications with criminal histories in a manner consistent with applicable laws.
- As a condition of employment, applicants will be subject to a drug screen to the extent permitted by law.
- Participate in industry-specific security training programs.
- Licensing requirements are subject to state and/or local laws and regulations and may be required prior to employment.
- A valid driver’s license will be required for driving positions only.
Responsibilities
- Provide excellent customer service to clients and visitors by following security-related procedures, site-specific policies, and responding to emergency situations as needed.
- Respond to incidents and critical situations in a calm and problem-solving manner, using appropriate judgment and communication skills.
- Conduct regular and random patrols throughout the retail location and surrounding perimeter to help to deter potential unwanted activity and to observe for any irregularities.
- Monitor entrances, exits, and sensitive areas within the location to help to deter unauthorized access and/or suspicious behavior.
- Maintain accurate and detailed records of observations, incidents, and activities during assigned shifts.
- Communicate professionally with clients, visitors, and Allied Universal management regarding security-related matters and/or incidents.
- Follow all company protocols and client-specific instructions while carrying out armed patrol duties at the location.
