As an Armed Patrol Officer with Allied Universal at a government transportation location, you will monitor and patrol assigned areas, conduct routine patrols, stay highly visible to help deter security-related incidents, and provide clear communication and customer service to the public and staff. This role requires an armed guard card/license and supports a culture that is agile, reliable, innovative, people-first, team-oriented, and grounded in integrity.

Requirements

  • Possess a Concealed Carry Weapons Permit.
  • Be a graduate of a Law Enforcement or Military Police Training Program or equivalent.
  • Possess an Armed Guard Card/License.
  • Provide proof of a high school diploma or GED as required by the client.
  • Be at least 21 years of age for armed roles.
  • Possess a high school diploma or equivalent.
  • As a condition of employment, applicants will be subject to a background investigation in accordance with all federal, state, and local laws.
  • Allied Universal will consider qualified applications with criminal histories in a manner consistent with applicable laws.
  • As a condition of employment, applicants will be subject to a drug screen to the extent permitted by law.
  • Participate in industry-specific security training programs.
  • Licensing requirements are subject to state and/or local laws and regulations and may be required prior to employment.
  • A valid driver’s license will be required for driving positions only.

Responsibilities

  • Provide customer service to staff, passengers, contractors, and visitors by following site-specific policies, screening procedures, and emergency response activities for a government transportation location.
  • Carry and maintain authorized duty weapon and related equipment in accordance with Allied Universal post orders, licensing requirements, and use of force guidelines; report any issues through the chain of command.
  • Conduct regular and random armed patrols of stations, platforms, entrances, parking areas, and perimeter routes to help to deter unauthorized activity and identify security-related concerns.
  • Respond to alarms, disturbances, medical incidents, and other critical situations in a calm, problem-solving manner, coordinating with transit personnel and/or law enforcement as directed by post orders.
  • Complete required documentation such as incident reports, patrol logs, and activity reports, and communicate security-related information to supervisors and site contacts.
