As an Armed Patrol Officer at a chemical and petrochemical location, you will conduct routine vehicle patrols, stay visible to help to deter security-related incidents, support access control, and respond to concerns with clear communication and customer service. This is a driving post, and you will operate a vehicle during patrols. Requirements

  • Have at least 1 year of security-related experience.
  • Possess an armed guard card and/or license.
  • Be at least 21 years of age.
  • A valid driver’s license is required in accordance with Allied Universal driver policy requirements.
  • Be at least 21 years of age for armed roles.
  • Possess a high school diploma or equivalent.
  • As a condition of employment, applicants will be subject to a background investigation in accordance with all federal, state, and local laws.
  • As a condition of employment, applicants will be subject to a drug screen to the extent permitted by law.
  • Participate in industry-specific security training programs.
  • Licensing requirements are subject to state and/or local laws and regulations and may be required prior to employment.
  • A valid driver’s license will be required for driving positions only.

Nice To Haves

  • CPR certification is preferred.

Responsibilities

  • Provide customer service to site personnel and visitors by following post orders, access control procedures, site-specific policies, and/or emergency response activities at a chemical manufacturing location.
  • Carry and handle issued firearms and related equipment in accordance with Allied Universal policies, applicable laws, and site requirements while performing armed patrol duties.
  • Respond to incidents, alarms, and critical situations in a calm, problem-solving manner, including coordinating notifications, documenting actions taken, and assisting with scene control until relieved.
  • Conduct regular and random patrols of production areas, warehouses, offices, and perimeter lines to help to deter unauthorized access, theft, and other security-related concerns.
  • Complete required reports, logs, and incident documentation, and communicate key observations to site leadership and/or Allied Universal supervision.
