As an Armed Patrol Officer with Allied Universal at a busy retail location, you will patrol interior and exterior areas, stay highly visible to help reduce security-related incidents, and respond to alarms, suspicious activity, and customer concerns. You will document observations, communicate clearly with store teams and law enforcement, and deliver customer-focused service with integrity and teamwork. This is an armed post requiring an armed guard card/license and a valid driver’s license. Position Type: Part Time Pay Rate: $14.00 / Hour Job Schedule: Day Time Tue 03:00 PM - 11:30 PM Sun 02:00 PM - 11:30 PM

Requirements

• A valid driver’s license is required in the state where the job is located.
• A minimum of 1 year of security-related experience is required.
• An Armed Guard Card or license is required.
• A Level III Armed Certification is required in Texas only.
• Be at least 21 years of age for armed roles.
• Possess a high school diploma or equivalent.
• As a condition of employment, applicants will be subject to a background investigation in accordance with all federal, state, and local laws.
• Allied Universal will consider qualified applications with criminal histories in a manner consistent with applicable laws.
• As a condition of employment, applicants will be subject to a drug screen to the extent permitted by law.
• Participate in industry-specific security training programs.
• Licensing requirements are subject to state and/or local laws and regulations and may be required prior to employment.
• A valid driver’s license will be required for driving positions only.

• Being comfortable using a computer or tablet is preferred.

Responsibilities

• Provide customer service to clients and customers by following Allied Universal procedures, site-specific policies, and/or emergency response activities appropriate to a retail location.
• Conduct regular and random armed patrols throughout the store, parking areas, loading docks, and perimeter to help to deter unwanted activity and identify potential hazards.
• Respond to incidents, alarms, disturbances, and critical situations in a calm, problem-solving manner, using de-escalation techniques and requesting law enforcement and/or medical support when needed.
• Control access to restricted areas such as receiving, cash handling zones, and employee-only spaces by verifying authorization and monitoring entry and exit activity.
• Complete detailed incident reports, shift logs, and patrol documentation, and communicate security-related concerns to site leadership and Allied Universal supervision.
