As an Unarmed Patrol Officer with Allied Universal at an aero and defense location, you will monitor and patrol assigned areas, complete routine rounds, and remain visible to help to deter security-related incidents. You will respond to concerns, document observations, and communicate clearly while delivering a positive customer service experience. You will also support a culture that is agile, reliable, and innovative, putting people first through teamwork and integrity.

Requirements

• Have at least 1+ years' armed security-related, law enforcement, and/or military experience.
• Be at least 18 years of age for unarmed roles; 21+ years of age for armed roles.
• Possess a high school diploma or equivalent.
• As a condition of employment, applicants will be subject to a background investigation in accordance with all federal, state, and local laws.
• Allied Universal will consider qualified applications with criminal histories in a manner consistent with applicable laws.
• As a condition of employment, applicants will be subject to a drug screen to the extent permitted by law.
• Licensing requirements are subject to state and/or local laws and regulations and may be required prior to employment.
• A valid driver’s license will be required for driving positions only.

Nice To Haves

• CPR certification is preferred and may be completed post hire.
• Ability to lift more than 20 lbs is preferred.
• Customer service experience is preferred.

Responsibilities

• Provide customer service to employees, contractors, and/or visitors by carrying out security-related procedures, site-specific policies, and when appropriate, emergency response activities at an aerospace and defense location.
• Respond to alarms, incidents, and critical situations in a calm, problem-solving manner, documenting actions taken and communicating with site contacts and/or public emergency services as needed.
• Conduct regular and random unarmed patrols of production areas, offices, docks, parking areas, and the perimeter to help to deter unauthorized activity and/or access.
• Control access at designated entry points by verifying identification and/or visitor authorization, issuing temporary credentials as directed, and directing arrivals to the appropriate check-in process.
• Complete accurate reports and daily activity logs, monitor cameras and/or alarm panels when assigned, and report maintenance issues, hazards, and/or policy concerns through the proper channels.
