Job Description As a Armed Security Officer- Residential Patrol Driver in San Diego, CA , you will serve and safeguard clients in a range of industries such as Residential, and more. Join Allied Universal as an Armed Patrol Officer supporting a residential community. You will complete routine mobile and foot patrols, stay visible to help reduce security-related incidents, respond to calls for assistance, and communicate clearly with residents, guests, and property staff. This post requires an armed guard card/license and a valid driver’s license to meet AU driver policy requirements, while bringing Allied Universal’s agile, reliable, innovative service and integrity to every shift. Requirements

• A valid driver’s license is required in accordance with Allied Universal driver policy requirements.
• An armed guard card/license is required.
• Be at least 21 years of age for armed roles.
• Possess a high school diploma or equivalent.
• As a condition of employment, applicants will be subject to a background investigation in accordance with all federal, state, and local laws.
• Allied Universal will consider qualified applications with criminal histories in a manner consistent with applicable laws.
• As a condition of employment, applicants will be subject to a drug screen to the extent permitted by law.
• Participate in industry-specific security training programs.
• Licensing requirements are subject to state and/or local laws and regulations and may be required prior to employment.
• A valid driver’s license will be required for driving positions only.

Nice To Haves

• A guard card/license is preferred.
• Customer service experience is preferred.

Responsibilities

• Provide customer service to residents, guests, and property staff by carrying out security-related procedures, site-specific policies, and when appropriate, emergency response activities.
• Conduct regular and random armed foot and/or vehicle patrols of residential buildings, common areas, parking areas, and the property perimeter; working environments and conditions may vary by location.
• Monitor access points and help to control entry of vehicles and visitors; verify authorization, issue directions, and report unauthorized access attempts per post orders.
• Respond to incidents and critical situations in a calm, problem-solving manner; provide initial incident assessment, request law enforcement and/or medical assistance as needed, and coordinate with site management.
• Complete detailed written reports, activity logs, and incident documentation; communicate pertinent information during shift turnovers and to Allied Universal leadership.
