Armed Security Officer - Patrol Driver

Job Description As a Security Officer - Armed Government Patrol Driver in Lillington, NC , you will serve and safeguard clients in a range of industries such as Government, and more. As an Armed Patrol Officer at a government location, you will conduct regular patrols to help deter security-related incidents while providing a visible presence. This role requires you to be armed and to operate a vehicle as part of your daily responsibilities. You will interact with staff and visitors, delivering outstanding customer service and communication in line with Allied Universal's values of teamwork, integrity, and putting people first.
Requirements
- Be at least 21 years of age.
- A valid driver’s license is required in accordance with Allied Universal driver policy requirements.
- Be at least 21 years of age for armed roles.
- Possess a high school diploma or equivalent.
- As a condition of employment, applicants will be subject to a background investigation in accordance with all federal, state, and local laws. Allied Universal will consider qualified applications with criminal histories in a manner consistent with applicable laws.
- As a condition of employment, applicants will be subject to a drug screen to the extent permitted by law.
- Participate in industry-specific security training programs.
- Licensing requirements are subject to state and/or local laws and regulations and may be required prior to employment.
- A valid driver’s license will be required for driving positions only.
Responsibilities
- Provide customer service to our clients by carrying out security-related procedures, site-specific policies and when appropriate, emergency response activities.
- Respond to incidents and critical situations in a calm, problem-solving manner.
- Conduct regular and random armed patrols around the location and perimeter to help to deter unauthorized activities.
- Monitor entrances, exits, and other key areas to help to deter unauthorized access and/or suspicious behavior.
- Report and document any security-related incidents, hazards, or unusual occurrences according to site procedures.
- Collaborate with law enforcement and/or emergency personnel as needed during incidents.
- Maintain a visible presence to help to deter potential issues and provide reassurance to staff and visitors.
