As an Armed Patrol Officer in a healthcare location, you will conduct routine foot and vehicle patrols, stay highly visible to help reduce security-related incidents, and support patients, visitors, and staff with clear communication and a service-first approach. Requirements

  • Be 21+ years of age.
  • 1+ Years' Armed Security/Law Enforcement/Military Experience
  • A valid driver’s license is required in accordance with Allied Universal driver policy requirements.
  • Be at least 18 years of age for unarmed roles; 21+ years of age for armed roles.
  • Possess a high school diploma or equivalent.
  • As a condition of employment, applicants will be subject to a background investigation in accordance with all federal, state, and local laws.
  • Allied Universal will consider qualified applications with criminal histories in a manner consistent with applicable laws.
  • As a condition of employment, applicants will be subject to a drug screen to the extent permitted by law.
  • Licensing requirements are subject to state and/or local laws and regulations and may be required prior to employment.
  • A valid driver’s license will be required for driving positions only.

Responsibilities

  • Provide customer service to patients, visitors, and staff by carrying out security-related procedures, location-specific policies, and when appropriate, emergency response activities within a healthcare setting.
  • Respond to incidents, medical emergencies, and critical situations in a calm, problem-solving manner, coordinating with clinical staff and following established notification and reporting procedures.
  • Conduct regular and random patrols throughout the facility, including entrances, lobbies, waiting areas, and exterior perimeter, observing for unusual activity and helping to deter unauthorized access.
  • Monitor access points and visitor flow, assist with wayfinding, and support staff with security-related requests such as escorts and lost and found documentation, as permitted by site policy.
  • Complete required documentation such as incident reports, shift logs, and patrol activity reports, and communicate pertinent information to Allied Universal supervision and site representatives.
