You will conduct routine mobile and foot patrols, stay visible to help deter security-related incidents, respond to alarms and calls for assistance, and provide calm, respectful customer service to shoppers and staff. You will communicate clearly, document activity, and work as a team with a caring culture that values integrity, reliability, agility, and innovation.

Requirements

Have 3+ years' combined law enforcement and/or military and/or security experience or a college degree.
A valid driver’s license is required in accordance with Allied Universal driver policy requirements.
Have Level III Armed Certification for Texas only.
Be at least 21 years of age for armed roles.
Possess a high school diploma or equivalent.
As a condition of employment, applicants will be subject to a background investigation in accordance with all federal, state, and local laws.
Allied Universal will consider qualified applications with criminal histories in a manner consistent with applicable laws.
As a condition of employment, applicants will be subject to a drug screen to the extent permitted by law.
Participate in industry-specific security training programs.
Licensing requirements are subject to state and/or local laws and regulations and may be required prior to employment.
A valid driver’s license will be required for driving positions only.

Nice To Haves

An armed guard card and/or license is preferred.
Customer service experience is preferred.

Responsibilities

Provide customer service to clients and guests by following Allied Universal security-related procedures, site-specific policies, and/or emergency response activities at a retail location.
Carry and maintain assigned duty weapon and related equipment in accordance with licensing requirements, post orders, and Allied Universal guidelines.
Respond to incidents, alarms, and critical situations in a calm, problem-solving manner, requesting law enforcement and/or emergency services as needed.
Conduct regular and random armed patrols of the sales floor, entrances, parking areas, loading areas, and perimeter to help to deter theft, trespassing, and/or disruptive activity.
Document observations, incidents, and patrol activity in written reports and/or electronic systems, and communicate relevant information to onsite management and incoming personnel.
