About The Position

As a Security Officer - Armed Shelter Patrol Driver in San Antonio, TX, you will serve and safeguard clients in a range of industries such as Shelter, and more. As a Patrol Armed Officer with Allied Universal, you will monitor and patrol assigned shelter locations, helping to deter security-related incidents and maintaining a visible presence. Requirements

Must have a combined 3 years of either military, law enforcement, armed security experience
An armed guard card or license is required.
Must pass a Physical Fitness Exam (run 1 mile-12 minutes, 22 sit ups, 12 push ups)
A valid driver’s license is required in accordance with Allied Universal driver policy requirements.
Be at least 21 years of age for armed roles.
Possess a high school diploma or equivalent.
As a condition of employment, applicants will be subject to a background investigation in accordance with all federal, state, and local laws.
Allied Universal will consider qualified applications with criminal histories in a manner consistent with applicable laws.
As a condition of employment, applicants will be subject to a drug screen to the extent permitted by law.
Participate in industry-specific security training programs.
Licensing requirements are subject to state and/or local laws and regulations and may be required prior to employment.
A valid driver’s license will be required for driving positions only.

Responsibilities

Provide customer service to clients by carrying out security-related procedures, following site-specific policies, and responding to emergency situations as appropriate.
Respond to incidents and critical situations at the shelter location in a calm, problem-solving manner while maintaining professionalism.
Conduct regular and random armed patrols throughout the shelter and its perimeter to help to deter unwanted activity and maintain a secure environment.
Monitor entrances, exits, and key areas within the shelter to help to deter unauthorized access and support a secure setting for occupants and staff.
Document and report any suspicious activity, incidents, or security-related concerns according to Allied Universal protocols.
Assist with access control and visitor management as required by site-specific guidelines.
Collaborate with shelter staff and/or local authorities during emergency or critical situations as directed by site procedures.
