As an Armed Patrol Officer with Allied Universal at a government location, you will monitor and patrol assigned areas, conduct routine rounds, and stay highly visible to help to deter security-related incidents. You will respond to calls for service, document observations, and communicate clearly with staff and visitors while providing customer service. Requirements

• Be a Graduate of Law Enforcement or Military Police Training Program or Equivalent.
• Be 21+ years of age.
• Be at least 21 years of age for armed roles.
• Possess a high school diploma or equivalent.
• As a condition of employment, applicants will be subject to a background investigation in accordance with all federal, state, and local laws. Allied Universal will consider qualified applications with criminal histories in a manner consistent with applicable laws.
• As a condition of employment, applicants will be subject to a drug screen to the extent permitted by law.
• Participate in industry-specific security training programs.
• Licensing requirements are subject to state and/or local laws and regulations and may be required prior to employment.
• A valid driver’s license will be required for driving positions only.

Nice To Haves

• An Armed Guard Card/License is preferred.
• CPR/First Aid is preferred.

Responsibilities

• Provide customer service to clients at a government location by carrying out security-related procedures, site-specific policies, and/or emergency response activities as appropriate.
• Conduct armed foot and/or vehicle patrols at scheduled and random intervals throughout buildings, grounds, and perimeter areas; working conditions may vary by location.
• Monitor access points and screen visitors, employees, and contractors in accordance with site requirements; verify identification and/or credentials and document entries as required.
• Respond to incidents, alarms, and critical situations in a calm, problem-solving manner; coordinate with site leadership and/or public emergency services when needed.
• Complete security-related reports and activity logs, communicate observations to the appropriate parties, and assist with investigations by preserving facts and following chain-of-custody procedures as directed.
