As an Armed Patrol Officer at a healthcare location, you will conduct routine patrols of the property, stay highly visible to help reduce security-related incidents, and respond to situations with professionalism and integrity. You will support a welcoming environment for donors, patients, and staff through clear communication and strong customer service, while partnering with site teams to report concerns and help keep operations running smoothly as part of Allied Universal’s caring, team-first culture.

Requirements

  • Possess an armed guard card or license.
  • Be at least 21 years of age for armed roles.
  • Possess a high school diploma or equivalent.
  • As a condition of employment, applicants will be subject to a background investigation in accordance with all federal, state, and local laws.
  • Allied Universal will consider qualified applications with criminal histories in a manner consistent with applicable laws.
  • As a condition of employment, applicants will be subject to a drug screen to the extent permitted by law.
  • Participate in industry-specific security training programs.
  • Licensing requirements are subject to state and/or local laws and regulations and may be required prior to employment.
  • A valid driver’s license will be required for driving positions only.

Nice To Haves

  • CPR certification is preferred.
  • Customer service experience is preferred.

Responsibilities

  • Provide customer service to staff, donors, patients, and visitors by carrying out security-related procedures, site-specific policies, and when appropriate, emergency response activities within a healthcare location.
  • Carry and maintain issued firearm and related equipment in accordance with Allied Universal policies, post orders, and applicable laws and/or regulations.
  • Respond to incidents, disturbances, medical emergencies, and critical situations in a calm, problem-solving manner, including contacting local law enforcement and/or emergency services as needed.
  • Conduct regular and random armed patrols of interior areas, exterior grounds, parking areas, and building perimeter, documenting notable activity and reporting hazards and/or suspicious behavior.
  • Monitor access points, help to control entry and exit, verify identification and/or authorization when required, and complete reports, logs, and incident documentation per post requirements.
