As an Armed Patrol Officer with Allied Universal at a healthcare location, you will monitor and patrol assigned areas, helping to deter security-related incidents and support a secure environment for patients, staff, and visitors. Requirements

  • Proof of high school diploma or GED is required by the client.
  • Must be at least 21 years of age.
  • Be at least 21 years of age for armed roles.
  • Possess a high school diploma or equivalent.
  • As a condition of employment, applicants will be subject to a background investigation in accordance with all federal, state, and local laws.
  • Allied Universal will consider qualified applications with criminal histories in a manner consistent with applicable laws.
  • As a condition of employment, applicants will be subject to a drug screen to the extent permitted by law.
  • Participate in industry-specific security training programs.
  • Licensing requirements are subject to state and/or local laws and regulations and may be required prior to employment.
  • A valid driver’s license will be required for driving positions only.

Nice To Haves

  • CPR certification is preferred.
  • Access control or badge experience is preferred.
  • Alarm panel experience is preferred.

Responsibilities

  • Provide customer service to clients, patients, and visitors by carrying out security-related procedures, adhering to site-specific policies, and responding to emergency situations as appropriate.
  • Conduct regular and random armed patrols throughout the healthcare facility and its perimeter to help to deter unauthorized activity and promote a secure environment.
  • Respond to incidents and critical situations in a calm, problem-solving manner, using de-escalation techniques when necessary.
  • Monitor entrances, exits, and sensitive areas to help to deter unauthorized access and protect people and property.
  • Support hospital staff during incidents and/or emergencies by following established protocols and working collaboratively with on-site personnel.
  • Complete detailed and accurate reports regarding incidents, observations, and daily activities as required by Allied Universal and the healthcare location.
  • Maintain a visible and professional presence while on duty to help to deter potential disruptions and provide reassurance to staff, patients, and visitors.
